Many of us have waited so long to see the Mosley vs Mayweather fight. Since 1999, people are already hoping for this fight to happen. According to Mayweather they tried to negotiate with Mosley 10 years ago but Mosley's camp just turned down the fight. He added that in 2006, they talked to Mosley again but Mosley said he wanted to go on a vacation with his family.
Supposedly Mosley will fight the WBC welterweight champion Andre Berto on January 18, 2010 but the fight was canceled due because of earthquake. Berto withdrew the fight due to family loss in Haiti earthquake.
On the other hand, Mayweather supposedly will fight the WBO World Welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao but was canceled because of Olympic style drug test requested by Mayweather's camp. Pacquiao fought with Joshua Clottey and Mayweather have to find another opponent. Since Mosley's fight against Andre Berto was canceled and Mayweather's fight against Pacquiao is also canceled, the Mayweather-Mosley fight finally settled.
