Chris Leben Needs To Go
According to the recent news today, one of the UFC fighters is being criticized because of his behavior. And since UFC means business, they think fighters should perform well and take their job seriously.
Chris Leben, the fighting pride of Oahu, Hawaii received some negative feedback from press and other mixed martial arts analysts.
According to Kevin Iole, Yahoo! Sports MMA reporter, that there's a prominent fighter who came over to him that night and told him that he made a bet on Rosholt for he knew that Leben had not trained at all. Iole also added that Leben should go.
So why Leben was being criticized right now? They said that UFC is not a charity and have given him lots of chances to improve and be a good, responsible fighter. UFC fans love his brawling style in the ring but his behavior is something being given an emphasis. He was arrested by Clackamas County Sheriffs last April 30, 2008, for DUI (driving under the influence of alcohol) and was sentenced for about a month and 4 days causing his fight with Michael Bisping to be canceled. UFC gave him another chance and his fight with Bisping was scheduled in UFC 89. He lost in this fight but after the event it turned out that he is positive for drug called "Winstrol" (steroid). He then served 9-month suspension and now he appeared again in UFC 102 in a fight against Jake Rosholt. He lost in this match and some said that he didn't train at all.
We have checked some forums and according to most commentators, they still like Leben. Some said that alcoholism or other problems on Leben are all personal. Most of them didn't want UFC to kick Leben out. They still like his brawling style which makes the fight interesting to watch.
How about you? Do you want UFC to dump Leben or you still want UFC to hold Leben?
