Quinton "Rampage" Jackson Quits UFC!
RAMPAGE QUITS MMA: HE'S RETIRED NOW
The UFC Light-Heavyweight champion, Quinton "Rampage" Jackson quits his MMA career. This is a big news in UFC today. After some rumors about the postponement of UFC 107 because of Jackson's film "A-Team," now it seems that UFC 107 bout between Jackson and Evans is already considered as a fantasy match. Jackson is fed up and has announced his retirement in his personal website.
So what are the reasons which forced him to quit? Let's talk about his acting career. We knew that Jackson will be part of the "A-Team" movie so is it connected with his issue in UFC? The answer is "Yes." As what Jackson stated in his personal website, it all begun when he started filming his "A-Team" movie. He said that he asked UFC management and UFC President Dana White to move his UFC 107 bout for about a month or so. Jackson expressed how much he love being part in a movie which he dreamed of since he was just young. He also stated that being part of the movie, brings back the memories when he was with his father and mother. So it is like a big opportunity that's knocking on his door and he can't just ignore it for it can be his second career.
We think he feels that Dana White is restricting him from making money outside his UFC career. Why not? Jackson is one of the great fighters inside the Octagon and we know that MMA fighters these days were always the choice of movie industry when it comes to action films. Fighters will not always be there fighting in the ring most specially if they reached their forties so maybe UFC management are just preventing their fighters from filing early retirement most specially if they were at the peak of their career. And maybe President Dana White was just alarmed because of the growing numbers of UFC fighters who signed contract in Hollywood films like Gina Carano, Keith Jardine, Randy Couture, and many more. But if President White allowed Gina Carano, why do he have to block Jackson's childhood dream?Aside from financial and business problems, there is another thing that plays a major factor why he calls it quits in the UFC. Jackson stated that he didn't earn respect from the UFC management. He stated that he was being mocked by President White in the internet for being part of the "A-Team" movie. But even he was mocked, he didn't say or do anything against the management. He stated that he talked with President White but still they go back to the internet and talked some trash about his movie which could affect his future acting career. So he finally maade up his mind. He stated that he's done fighting. He seemed hurt about the UFC management commentaries and negative reviews he received from his haters. And he had a message to his haters, "all you hater fans out there can kiss my big black hairy ass! & anybody that don’t like what I just said can come try to kick my ass!"
So is it really a final decision? Is he joking or is he serious? There are no response yet from the UFC management and they haven't given their statements yet regarding Jackson's retirement. But if you will check WIKIPEDIA, Jackson is now an actor and a former MMA Fighter.
