"KNOCKOUT" - Gina Carano's First Major Film
UFC fighters are becoming even more popular not only in the Octagon ring but also one of the major interest in action films. After the confirmation that Quinton Jackson will play the role of B.A. Baracus in "A-Team" movie, this time the so-called "Face of Women's MMA" will finally have her first major film. The beautiful Gina Joy Carano or Gina Carano will finally have her first major role in the 2010 film by Steven Soderbergh entitled "Knockout." "Knockout" is considered her first big break even though she is part of the upcoming movie "Blood and Bone."
Steven Soderbergh is a 46 year-old American film producer and Academy-award winning film director who is well known for his films like Che, Sex, Lies, and Videotape, Ocean's Eleven, Traffic, and Erin Brockovich. Soderberg planned to add veteran actors in the film. This would be great and it will really add weight to the film. And according to the news "Knockout" film is not like a "Million Dollar Baby" but it will be like "Kill Bill."
Many UFC fans asked if she will leave her MMA career and will shift to acting career. Is she going to leave the Octagon ring and pursue a new career in the "Hollywood?" Or this is her way to leave UFC because she suffered a lot from her first ever lost to Strikeforce title fight with Cristiane "Cyborg" Santos? Actually she really needs time to shoot for her first major film since the film is set to film in different countries like Turkey and Ireland. She will not be seen in action in UFC ring but this does not mean that she is done with her MMA career.
