SILVA AND MARQUARDT: UFC Knockout Kings
After the spectacular matches in UFC 102, two fighters in that event was now recognized as "UFC Knockout Kings." Thiago Silva and Nate Marquardt makes history in UFC.
Thiago Silva didn't show any weakness in his fight against Keith Jardine last Saturday. If he feels embarrassed after experiencing his first ever defeat against Lyoto Machida in UFC 94, now thre's something he should be proud of. Keith Jardine is not that an easy fighter to win. But Silva made him down in just 95 seconds in Round No. 1. Jardine opened the fight with a blow that missed. He tried to follow up but he was caught by Silva until Jardine dropped to the mat. Referee Herb Dean stopped the fight when Silva throws continuous blows on Jardine at 1:35 in Round No. 1.
Another marvelous fighter in UFC 102 is Nate Marquardt. If Silva finished Jardine in 95 seconds of Round 1, Marquardt finished his fight against Demian Maia 21 seconds in Round 1. He threw a big right hand to Maia which gives Maia his first lost inn his professional career and making him closer to the so-called "rematch" against "Spider" Anderson Silva. Marquardt was so eager to have a revenge against Silva. He wanted himself to be the one to kick Silva's butt. "What?!!" It may happened if he will still have the same shot for Silva but if he will not be able to do it to Silva, I don't think he can win.
